Swimming Pool Museum

The most beautiful swimming pool in France! Built between 1927 and 1932 by the architect Albert Baert at the behest of Jean Lebas (mayor at the time), the former municipal swimming pool of Roubaix is an exceptional Art Deco building. Closed in 1985 for safety reasons and converted by architect Jean-Paul Philippon, this exquisite place now houses the Roubaix Museum of Art and Industry.

Villa Cavrois

Designed in 1929 and completed in 1932, the Villa Cavrois is a family home commissioned by Paul Cavrois, a Roubaix textile industrialist, from the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, a leading figure of the modernist movement. This villa, which featured all the cutting-edge technologies of the time, was classified as a Historic Monument in 1990 due to overwhelming public support. Acquired by the state in 2001, a huge restoration project was implemented in 2003 by the DRAC Nord Pas-de-Calais, taken over in 2008 by the Centre National des Monuments Historiques, and completed in June 2015.
